Overwhelmed auditors often feel they have no direction on where they’re going or what to prioritize first. There is no cohesive plan for growth, no mentorship or best practices. They often allow doubts or fears to stop them from initiating change due to second-guessing themselves, self-sabotage, not believing they deserve it or can do it, rather than boldly playing a bigger game.

Many auditors feel that they have no one to turn to with questions and support. Even in the highly regulated environment, they feel there’s a lack of structure and accountability. It’s lonely being an auditor who wants to play big and challenge the status quo.

It’s not your fault. I have been through these challenges myself, as have many auditors. That is why we are here to help! We believe it does not need to be this hard. As I was going through these challenges, I was searching for a program that would help me with all these issues and give me the training I needed to do a great job and continue to develop my career. And when I started my own business in 2001, I needed even more resources but could not find the right ones to help me.

So, after reflecting on this challenge for many years, I created the INTERNAL AUDIT CAREER ACADEMY to solve these problems.

At the Internal Audit Career Academy, you will learn the Competencies that allow you to be clear about where you are going. Michelle is the founder and President of Fowler & Company, LTD and has been working in banking and internal audit since 1990. Founded in 2001, Fowler & Company's specialized focus is on internal audit, training, risk, internal controls, and compliance. Michelle is an engaging and highly rated speaker and author. Her diverse combination of Internal Audit training and consulting gives her a unique perspective and provides current "real world" experience. Michelle holds the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certification in Risk Management. Michelle's experience prior to Fowler & Company includes time in public accounting, including Deloitte, and working in internal audit shops in both the United States and the United Kingdom. How long do I have access to the course?
After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for one year - across any and all devices you own. You will get a link to one on-line module per month for 10 months as well as access to the live event replays.
When does the course start and finish?
The course starts the day you enroll and ends one year from enrollment! It is a completely self-paced online course - you will get one module each month for 10 months and you can complete them as you go or set aside time to do them as a group. We suggest you do them as you receive them. CPE certificates are not issued until the module has been viewed and a brief quiz completed..
How many CPEs will I receive?
At least 40 if you complete all the on-line modules and attend both live events. The CPE complies with the IIA and AICPA requirements.
